Revington Arthur (1907-1986), born in Stamford, CT, traveled across America seeking inspiration. He studied under renowned artists including George Luks, Arshile Gorky, Kimon Nicholaides, and Grant Reynard. His works have been exhibited at esteemed institutions such as the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, and Carnegie Institute, and featured in Time and Esquire magazines. His art is included in permanent collections at The Brooklyn Museum, The Delaware Museum, and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. As a Silvermine Guild member, Arthur spent forty-three summers teaching at the Chautauqua Art Summer School in New York, ultimately becoming its director from 1945 to 1983.
