Revington Arthur, born in Stamford, CT, traveled across America for artistic inspiration. He studied under notable artists including George Luks, Arshile Gorky, Kimon Nicholaides, and Grant Reynard. His works were exhibited at prestigious venues such as the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, and Carnegie Institute, and were featured in Time and Esquire magazines. His art is part of permanent collections at The Brooklyn Museum, The Delaware Museum, and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. As a member of the Silvermine Guild, Arthur dedicated forty-three summers to teaching at the Chautauqua Art Summer School in New York, eventually serving as director from 1945 to 1983.
