Revington Arthur, a Stamford, CT native, journeyed across America for artistic inspiration. He studied with renowned artists like George Luks, Arshile Gorky, Kimon Nicholaides, and Grant Reynard. His works were showcased at prestigious venues including the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, and Carnegie Institute, and featured in Time and Esquire magazines. His pieces are held in permanent collections at The Brooklyn Museum, The Delaware Museum, and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. As a Silvermine Guild member, Arthur dedicated forty-three summers to teaching at the Chautauqua Art Summer School in New York, eventually serving as director from 1945 to 1983.
