Revington Arthur (1908-1986), born in Stamford, CT, sought inspiration across America. He studied under notable artists such as George Luks, Arshile Gorky, Kimon Nicholaides, and Grant Reynard. His works were exhibited at prominent institutions like the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, and Carnegie Institute, and were featured in Time and Esquire magazines. His art is included in permanent collections at The Brooklyn Museum, The Delaware Museum, and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. As a Silvermine Guild member, Arthur dedicated forty-three summers to teaching at the Chautauqua Art Summer School in New York, eventually serving as director from 1945 to 1983.
