Revington Arthur, born in Stamford, CT, traveled across America for artistic inspiration. He studied with notable artists such as George Luks, Arshile Gorky, Kimon Nicholaides, and Grant Reynard. His work was showcased at prestigious venues like the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, and Carnegie Institute, and was featured in Time and Esquire magazines. His pieces are part of permanent collections at The Brooklyn Museum, The Delaware Museum, and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. A member of the Silvermine Guild, Arthur dedicated forty-three summers to teaching at the Chautauqua Art Summer School in New York, eventually serving as director from 1945 to 1983.
