Revington Arthur (1908-1986), a native of Stamford, CT, found inspiration across America. He studied under renowned artists such as George Luks, Arshile Gorky, Kimon Nicholaides, and Grant Reynard. His works were exhibited at prestigious venues including the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, and Carnegie Institute, and featured in Time and Esquire magazines. His art is part of permanent collections at The Brooklyn Museum, The Delaware Museum, and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. As a member of the Silvermine Guild, Arthur dedicated forty-three summers to teaching at the Chautauqua Art Summer School in New York, eventually serving as director from 1945 to 1983.
